An acrlyic gouche painting for my animation painting class. I've been without free time for personal art...So I just wanted to post something I liked from school. This is a big step for me traditional wise...My contrast has improved but I still need to push it further. :3

gouache is fuuuun, thats underpainting and then going over with pastels right? and this picture is lurverly =]

Ty~! Actually it's just simply many layers of gouche on watercolour cold press paper. I've used pastels before with my gouche so that must explain the look XD.

Oh okay

thats what we did in an art course i did, was use pastels, it was fun and slightly challenging for my OCDness to NOT shade perfectly witht he watercolours. i was twitching, no joke

Lol~! I never had the paitence to really render anything up until a year and a half ago. I was so obsessed with inking and tones....Now I'm so pumped to try all sorts of colour. :>
